Takedown Policy

We care about artists and the people who color here. If something on Coloring Ponpon uses your work without permission, shows you or your personal details without consent, or should not be online for another good reason, tell us and we will deal with it quickly. This page explains what to send and what happens afterwards.

What is on this site

  • Coloring pages, line art we draw or commission ourselves. We do not publish characters, logos or designs owned by someone else: no film or game characters, no brand mascots. If something here looks like it belongs to a rights holder, we want to know.
  • Gallery pieces, finished colorings that visitors upload. Every piece is checked by a person before it appears, but we cannot always tell whether an upload is the sender’s own work, so removal requests for the gallery are especially welcome.
  • Comments, short notes from visitors under pages and gallery pieces.

How to request a removal

Email hello@coloringponpon.com with the subject line “Takedown”. For a copyright claim, include everything below so we can act without going back and forth:

  1. Your contact details, full name, email address, and the name of the rights holder if you are acting for someone else.
  2. The work you own, a clear description of the original, and a link or reference to where it can be seen, if available.
  3. Where it is on this site, the exact URL of each page, image or gallery piece you want removed.
  4. Good-faith statement, that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the rights holder, their agent, or the law.
  5. Accuracy statement, that the information in your request is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
  6. Signature, a physical or electronic signature. Typing your full name at the end of the email is enough.

Requests that are missing details are not ignored; we will ask for what is missing. A complete request is simply faster.

What happens next

  1. We acknowledge your email, usually within two working days.
  2. Material that plausibly should not be here is taken down or hidden straight away while we look into it. We do not wait for the process to finish before protecting someone’s rights.
  3. We check our own sketches, files and commission records, or the gallery submission and its sender.
  4. If the piece was uploaded by a visitor, we tell them it was removed and why, so they can respond if they believe it was a mistake.
  5. We write back to you with what we found and what we did.

If your content was removed

If you believe something of yours was taken down by mistake, for example, your own gallery piece, send a counter-notice to the same address with:

  • Your name and contact details.
  • The URL of the material that was removed.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and that you own it or have the right to use it.
  • Your signature (typing your name is fine).

We pass the counter-notice to the person who asked for the removal. Unless they tell us within ten working days that they are taking the matter further, we restore the material.

Other removal requests

Not every request is about copyright. Write to us in plain words if:

  • A gallery piece shows your face, your home, a name or other personal details you did not agree to share. We remove or crop it quickly; consent from the person shown matters more to us than the sender’s wishes.
  • You uploaded a piece to the gallery and want it gone. Fastest is the Remove link in the coloring tool’s “My pieces” tab on the device you used; otherwise email us from the address you gave when you shared it.
  • A comment about you is abusive, misleading or reveals private information.
  • A page uses a trademark or brand in a way you believe is not allowed.

Repeat infringement

Gallery senders who upload work that is not theirs more than once are blocked from submitting again, by email address and network address. If a contributor ever supplied artwork that was not theirs, we remove all of their material and end the relationship.

A note on false claims

Sending a takedown request for material you do not own, or that you know is not infringing, can make you liable for the damage it causes. Please only claim what is yours; if you are unsure, ask us and we will help you work it out.
